A community-led movement for the Kwa Mali hills

Established on 28 August 2024, Kwa Mali Community Forest Association is all about sustainable forest management and improving local livelihoods. Our initiatives — including agroforestry and ecotourism — help protect the rich biodiversity of our hilly forest areas, which feed into the Mwitasyano River.

We bring together individuals, farmer groups and institutions committed to sustainable management of forest resources across Lower Yatta, Kitui West, Kitui Central, Ikutha, Katulani and Mutomo Subcounties.
